Based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the Billy Bauer Band has built their fan base the old fashioned way, through years of touring and great live performances. The Billy Bauer Band has played some of the most prestigious music festivals & venues in America. Their sound is craftily woven with electric violin and folky grooves.
Founded by Billy Bauer (vocals, guitar) and Chris Lorenzetti (electric violin, piano) in 2006, the Billy Bauer Band began as an acoustic duo, and evolved to incorporate the solid rhythm section of Drew Somers (percussion) and Steve Zalalas (bass).
Within just a few months of their first show in 2006, the band landed a spot in one of the most prestigious independent music festivals in the world- the “CMJ Music Marathon” (New York, NY). They have gone on to play the largest festivals in the nation, including Musikfest (Bethlehem, PA), Arts Fest (State College, PA), and the Herndon Festival (Herndon, VA). As their reputation grew, they were booked as an opening act for top billboard artists Uncle Kracker, Dispatch, O.A.R. (Milwaukee, WI, February 2012), and multi-platinum rock group Third Eye Blind (Bethlehem, PA, September 2014).
Although they possess the ideal sound for festivals and outdoor concerts, they have also performed at some of the most prestigious rock venues in the northeast, including:
●The Bitter End, The Living Room, and Sullivan Hall (New York, NY)
● The Grape Room, World Café (Philladelphia, PA) , Musikfest Cafe (Bethlehem, PA)
Billy Bauer Band’s single “Maybe Tomorrow” (2010) can already be heard in all 19 Six Flags theme parks in Mexico, Canada and the U.S, and their most recent single “So Far Down” (2011) was contracted with ESPN Nascar, Supercuts “Rock the Cut”, and was featured on Philadelphia’s radio 104.5’s live @ 5 show.
In early 2015, Billy was unfortunately diagnosed with a career threatening vocal cord lesion that caused the band to cancel most performances. Post surgery, 2016 is looking very hopeful as the band is back performing and working on their next studio album which will be released in late 2016.

The Acoustic Kitty Project takes its name from a Government funded CIA program to surgically implant listening devices into stray cats for the purpose of spying on the Commies.
Well, like most Government Run Programs, this turned out to be a Colossal Waste of Money. After killing countless animals on the table, the final test went live. They dumped Acoustic Kitty into a park where it was immediately squashed by a taxi cab. The price tag? A mere $20 Million.
It is in the spirit of that incredibly stupid venture that I have named my band Acoustic Kitty Project. This is also why I avoid taxis.
